In 2003, François Lenoir
have decided to buy
MYSTÈRE CATAMARAN and
BOUTEMY’s boats. These
2 ranges of polyester
boats have brought a
lot in the small sailing
environment in their
best years and a lot
of sailors have trained
themselves with these
boats.
At the end of 2004,
the dinghy and catamaran
market in polyester
is decreasing and nothing
could augur an increase
in the following years.
Not wanting to follow
ways already drawn by
boats manufacturing
already in place, François
Lenoir decided quite
fast to go to a never
exploited sector in
the marine environment
and takes an interest
in the Twintex®.
2win was born in November
2005, from the reunification
of the range of catamarans
and dinghies. After
stopping the import
of MYSTERE boats, the
range is composed of
10 boats. The new 2win
boats are easy to use,
ergonomic and designed.
The customers are Sailing
school, Hotelholidays
club and private individuals.
At the end of 2006,
the Twincat 15 was the
first Twintex® boat
in the world, in the
small sailing environment.
It would last 3 years
to develop it.
François Lenoir remains
caution and the small
team from PÉRIGNY gets
organized to produce
this boat, new generation.
One year later, it had
a great success and
the Twincat 15 is asked
by all users, journalists
and federal institutions.
Export begins to energize
and 14 countries already
supply 2win’s boats.
At the end of 2008,
after 2 years of development,
the 2nd boat leaves
of the drawing boards:
It is the Twiner, drawn
by the FINOT’s architect’s
office. The process
is launched and the
boat is very expected
in France and Europe.
A 3rd boat, a 13’’ catamaran,
has been presented at
Paris Boat show 2008
in “concept boat”… |
